Niger lawmaker empowers APC party executives in Chanchaga
The lawmaker representing Chanchaga in the Niger House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Abubakar, popularly known as (Ustaz) has empowered party executives the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Chanchaga Local Government Area.
The lawmaker molled out over N8 million naira cash gifts to leaders of the ruling APC in Chanchaga local government area of the state to support theri living standard in the face of the economy hardship.
Hon. Abubakar Mohammed commended leaders and members of APC and people in his constituency for their support that made the party victorious during the 2023 elections.
“It is a tradition in politics that after politicking, party officials go back to the office to drink tea, this time around we are changing the narrative.
“We will rather support our people with a token for them to do business, it is a palliative measures because of the critical situation we are in, we need to support our people,” he said.
He said that the beneficiaries were 27 and each of them benefits a token of N300,000 each, adding he recently empowered 33 members of his campaign team with N500,000 each to support their living standards.
The lawmaker advised the beneficiaries to make effective use of the money by starting up a business to improve their living condition and that of their family members.
In his remarks, Mr Musa Sarkinkaji, Publicity Secretary of APC in Niger, appreciated the lawmaker for thinking deeply to extend a hand of fellowship to party executives and his campaign team.
He described the initiative as a “great development which was in line with the party’s manifesto of ensuring welfare of all people.
Also, Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed, APC Chairman in Chanchaga, appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and advised the beneficiaries to utilise the money judiciously.
One of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Abdullahi Sa’idu, promised to invest the money in his farming activities to boost food production
