Niger Police recovers Vandalized AEDC transformer armored cables in Lapai LG.
Police operatives attached to Lapai Division in collaboration with the community members have recovered armored cable of an electric transformer located at Mawogi village in Lapai local government area of Niger State which was vandalized and stolen by unknown persons.
The Niger State Police Command, Public relations officer,DSP Wasiu Abiodun in a Press release made available to Journalists in Minna Said based on credible information a search was conducted around the nearby forest and found the items suspected to have been stolen while the papetrators escaped from the scene.
According to the statement a Ford Galaxy vehicle with Reg. No. KWB 670 AA,Vandalized transformer armored cable ,Industrial bolt cutter, Metal bar ,Bags containing clothes and foodstuff were recovered at the scene.
The State Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Ogundele J. Ayodeji, psc(+) commended the community for their partnership with the Police which led to the recovery of the exhibits.
He then enjoined members of the public to emulate such zeal and be more vigilant on infrastructures and installations in their areas to avoid such vandalization within their environment.
