President Buhari tasked to live up to his promises -Bishop Jonah Kolo

President Muhammadu Buhari have been asked to ensure that adequate palliatives were put in place and distributed to Nigerians irrespective of religion, ethnic or region to ameliorate the sufferings of the citizens occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.

The statement which contained in a communique at the end of the four day,third session of the eight synod of the Diocese of Bida , Anglican communion held at  Gbadafu in Gbako Local government area of Niger state have it’s theme, “your labour is not in vain in the Lord”

The four day synod which was under the leadership of the Bishop of Bida,Rt Rev,Jonah Kolo, the communique emphasised on the state of the Nation and decried the unabating cases of insecurity in the country particularly the activities of ISWAP, Bandits and herdsmen, Killings and Kidnappings across the Nation.

The communique signed by the Bishop of Bida Anglican Diocese,Jonah Kolo admonished the President to live up to his promise by handing over a united and secured Nigeria for the incoming administration.

The synod also observed with dismay controversies sorrounding the 2023 general elections as a result of INEC in ability to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the Elections and the unprecedented ethnic and religions hostilities which marred the election across the Nation.

They also expressed their worries over the level of infrastructural decay in the country particularly the road network, adding that it is harzadous to the country’s economy for trained Nigeria professionals to desert the country inserch of greener pastures abroad, while asking the government to mitigate the trend  by providing adequate jobs for youths across the country.

It however advised Christian community in Bida Diocese,and  globally to have faith and be stead fast to give their labour for the Lord Jesus Christ in every cercumstance they may found themselves.

Bishop of Minna,Kutigi,Doko , and archbishop of Lokoja,Ecclesiastical province,34 clergy and 76 Members of house of laity and 110 members were present at the Synord.
