NGO TASK GOVT AND SPIRITUAL LEADERS TO PROVIDE SUCCOURS TO THE LESS PREVILEDGE.
Government and spiritual leaders have been urged to support organisations providing care and wellbeing to the orphans and less privileged in the society.
The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ Niger State Council Comrade Abu Nmodu made the call when the Founder of Marvelous Foundation Mrs Mary Adams Datto paid him a courtesy call at IBB Pen House Minna today.
Comrade Abu Nmodu said both Islam and Christianity enjoined the people to invest in the welfare of the orphans adding that, such humanitarian activities attract reward from God.
He commended Mrs Mary Datto for coming up with such a beautiful initiative describing it as a worthy cause needed to be supported by all.
The State Chairman of NUJ assured that, members would assist by publicising its activities .
Earlier Mrs Mary Adams Datto represented by a care giver Amina Ali said the visit was to appreciate the NUJ chairman for his leadership qualities and also explore areas of partnership for the general wellbeing of the orphans.
Mrs Mary Datto disclosed that, apart from ensuring sound moral upbringing, provision of requisite knowledge, the orphans are also undergoing entrepreneurship training to be self reliant.
She then presented the NUN Chairman with some products being produced by the Foundation.
