Chief Judge of Niger Swears in Chief Registrar with a Call on Staff to always abide by the Rules of engagement.
H/W Nasir Mohammed Mua’zu has been sworned in as the New Chief Registrar of the Niger state High court Minna. by the Chief Judge of Niger State Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik.
The swearing in ceremony of the Chief Registrar which was the first of it kind in the history of the Niger state Judiciary took place at the court room of the state High court No1.
In Her speech during the swearing ceremony, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik stated that the Chief Registrar took over the leadership of the office on the 12th of December 2022 and the inauguration couldn’t take place due to some reasons relating to the annual vacation.
The Chiefs Judge advice the newly inaugurated Chief Registrar that he should see his appointment as additional responsibility, stating that within the short period of his appointment, she was impressed with his level of performance and has no regret with his performance sofar.”
According to the chief judge his appointment is all about leadership and leadership is additional responsibility adding that as an accounting officer of the Niger state Judiciary “you are expected to abide by the oath of office you just taken
The Chief judge then advise the new Chief Registrar that he should be guided by the oath of office and the oath of allegiance.
The Chief Judge further disclosed that a pool will soon be created to be saddle with the responsibility of collation of complain on Judicial staff no matter his status, ‘i shall have some notice around the court premises because I have been receiving some complaints on some of the judicial staff,, there would be a pool for receiving complain about the conduct of staff of Judiciary ‘i urdge you to abide by the rules of engagement.
In his remarks, the new chief Registrar, H/W Nasir Mohammed Muazu stated that his new responsibility as the chief Registrar is an hectic one ,assured that he will leave above board in the discharge of his responsibility.
He said that his leadership as the chief Registrar of the state judiciary, he will key into her reforms and restoration agenda of her administration as the Chief Judge of the state in ensuring the transformation programme of the judiciary. under her leadership succeed.
He then assured the chief Judge of his preparedness to be transparent in the management of the financial duty of the judiciary at all time stressing that loyalty and prudence will not be compromise.
He appreciated the Chief Judge for seeing him worthy among all to be appointed in the office of the chief registra noting that “my appointment is the will of Allah SWT is not as if I’m the best or the most intelligent among others”.I sincerely appreciate your Lordship for seeing me worthy for the appointment and you will not be disappointed” he assured.
