Peace Corps Urges Niger state Government to Engage Yourths into the Command.

Passionate appeal has been made to the Niger state governor Abubakar Sani Bello to engage the graduates of Niger state into the State command of the Peace corps of Nigeria (PCN), to reduce youths restiveness in the state.
The Commandant of the Corps in the state, Patriot Silas Babayi Yissa made the appeal while speaking in an interview with Nigeria Daily post in his office in Minna stated that Niger state command of the corps has not been receiving the support of the state government as compared to other state in the country.
He explained that other commands have been receiving the supports of their respective state governors ” but we in Niger state, are laggy behind interns of any support”
He stated that as the corps await the president assent to the passage of the bill the command across the country has embarked on the revalidation of the existing figures of valuteers and the regular officers of the corps in the state
According to the Commandant Niger state command of the PCN has a total of 990 registered Patriots which cut across degree holders and NCE holders as well as senior school certificate holders stating that most of them are all committed to the course of the corps.
He noted with concern the deliberate refusal of the state government to finance the enlistment of the youths into corps stressing that the enlistment of the teaming youths in the corps will assist in curbing the increasing rates of youths restiveness in the state” Niger state is the only state in the North that refuse to engage its youths in service of PCN
According to him .other states like Adamawa, Nasarawa , Kano and Borno state’s have been supportive to their respective command.” But we in Niger state have not been receiving any support or assistance in enlisting the youths.
