The Commissioner of police in Niger State Mr. Joshua Adedeji, has been called to commence full scale investigation into the dastardly killing of a 29 years old Nasir Sani by Men of Hunter Council of Nigeria in Tafa local government area Nasir Sani was said to have been abducted by some young men believed to be on the instructions of one Mr Loko who is the proprietor of a popular drinking joint known as P.Garden located in New- Wuse the headquarters of Tafa local government area of Niger State.
In a petition forwarded to the state commissioner of Police by the senior brother of the deceased Ibrahim Sani and made available to Nigeria daily post alleged that the three young men namely Albert, Azeez and Rabo all had called Nasir Sani on the 17th of December,2022,that they were on the instructions of Mr. Loko to invite the deceased to his garden for a settlement of an outstanding issue between him Mr Loko and Rabo who is the son of the Chief of Wuse and two of his friends took the deceased to the P-Garden own by one Mr Loko an Igalas man from Ankpa Local government area of Kogi state and abducted him using the Hunter council forced the deceased in the booth of Mr Loko’s car took him to their den where he was held hostage by the Hunters Council in their den for three days.
While in their den Nasir was subjected to untold torture with deep bruises all over his body as a result of the torture he was subjected to on the order of Mr Loko.
The petition further claimed that the deceased managed to escaped after three days in captivity in the hands of the Hunters Council.
” We did not know how he managed to escape,he was held in captivity as he could not talk since his return.” His both legs were bruised with blood dripping from the both legs.
We assumed he might have crawled home from his abductors den.” He could not walk or even talk,until his death on the 27th of December 2022 ”
According to the petition,after being in intensive care at the Wuse general hospital before referral to Gwagwalada General hospital before his death as he could not talk through out as a result of the severe pains at this point, ” The family demands some answers from all the parties involved.
As we couldn’t get any answer we took the matter to the Divisional police officer (DPO), in- charge of Tafa Divisional command,after initial investigation linking the son of Chief of Sabon Wuse Mr Rabo the DPO Mr Ademola (other names unknown), ttold us he could not go further with the investigation.” .
He said it was the area Department of state service ( DSS) in-charge of Ssbon Wuse that brought the Hunters (the vigilante), that the case should be settled by the said chief of Sabon Wuse who is an interested party in the matter .
“We then wonder how can a man be a judge in his own case as his son is involved in the abduction of my late brother”? he asked It is against this background,”we requested the state Commissioner of police, who is a God fearing and a humane police officer of high repute to order for proper investigation into the extral judicial killing of our younger brother who is just 29 years on this earth”.
“We know the police force under the inspector general of Police IGP Usman Baba Alkali will not allow extral judicial killing under his watch,hence this petition as we know there is a conspiracy to suppress us by those who think they are above the law and can kill or murder law abiding citizens and go Scot free .
” We as Muslim would have let this matter go, but we noticed that this people felt there is no law and they can just kill this promising young boy and nothing will happen .For a long time similar killing has taken place unchallenged hence we are seeking for Justice.
