Two person killed as a result of Youth restiveness in Fadikpe/Kutirko,Niger State.

Two persons have been reportedly killed as some miscreants youth groups from Fadikpe and Kutirko areas attacked themselves that resulted in to degrees of injuries on a number of people in the community.

It was reliably gathered that the said youths armed themselves with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons invaded Kulogbe area, attacked themselves and vandalized some shops within the area.

Unfortunately, one Umar Aminu 19yrs was stabbed on the stomach. He was rushed to Gen. Hospital Minna where he was confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that another victim identified as Saidi Malam was also stabbed who died intently was buried yesterday.

The Niger State Police Command, Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident in a short statement issued to journalists in Minna, saying that 10 suspects have been arrested for thuggry, disturbance for public peace, capable homicide at Fadikpe area of Minna in connection with the incident.

Abiodun said Police patrol teams led by DPO Kpakungu were drafted to the scene and three suspects were arrested during the fight while the miscreants attempted to regroup, patrol teams immediately intervened and seven other suspects were arrested, making a total of ten suspects.

He added that the suspects will soon be transferred to SCID for discrete investigation and diligent prosecution
