Gov. Umaru Bago declares open Induction Program for top Govt. Officials.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has declared open a week long induction program for top echelon government officials in the State, with the theme: NEW NIGER AGENDA A PANACEA FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF NIGER STATE.
In a Press release made available to Nigeria Daily Post said the trraining which is taking place at the Royal Institute for Training and Human Capital
Development ,Zuma Rock Resort Suleja, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago was ably represented by his Deputy Comrade Yakubu Garba.
Governor Bago said the training is aimed at rapidly harnessing the abundant human and material resources in solid minerals, the agricultural value chain, and other sectors of the economy, saying clearly the ambitious plans of his administration are for the economic development of the state through rapid infrastructural development and providing for the welfare of the people across the state.
“This underscores our collective commitment to usher in a new era of prosperity, unity, and sustainable development, our decision to embark on this challenging task, bears the weight of the aspirations of the people we swore to serve with unwavering dedication, transparency, accountability through domestic and international collaboration”, the Governor said.
Farmer Bago said in the New Niger Agenda, we must think Niger first in every decision we will take, together we have to entrench not only a sustainable Niger State but a state where the benefits of our progress are equitably distributed leaving no one behind. It is about balancing economic growth with infrastructural development ensuring that development today does not compromise the opportunities of future generations.
The Governor called on the participants to work together to harness the untapped potentials within the state, re-evaluate the endowments, and leverage innovation, technology, and strategic public-private partnerships to build a diversified and resilient economy.
Bago urged all to domesticate a political culture that transcends party lines, putting the interest of the people and state first, embrace dialogue, reasonable compromise and collaboration as a tool to navigate the complex challenges ahead which indeed a united front is essential for the successful implementation of NEW NIGER Agenda.
