Immunization against six child killer diseases described as right to every child.

The Director primary Health care Department PHC of Shiroro Local Government,Hajiya Maimuna A Gogo stated this while flagging off a House to House immunization against polio at MCH in Gwada on Thursday.

Hajiya Maimuna A Gogo said immunization against polio and other six child killer diseases became necessary because of the dangers these diseases poised to our children.

The Director primary Health care said Government at all levels have expended huge sums of money to eradicate polio and other diseases for the continued survival of our children.

Hajiya Maimuna A Gogo appreciated the donour partners with particular reference to WHO and UNICEF for their resilience and commitment to the health and survival of the Nigerian child and urged  them not to relent.

The Director PHC in Shiroro emphasize the need for parents to present their children to the health personnel in their houses for routine immunization for the much needed goal to be achieved.

She advised health personnel in the local government to exhibit high sense of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duty.

In her remarks, the UNICEF local government facilitator in Shiroro,Mrs Victoria Jones informed the gathering that a child need to be giving immunization at least six times from 0-15months of age adding that the child will continue to receive routine immunization to 59months.

She advised parents to report surdden weakness of hands and legs to the nearest health facility for immediate action to be taken.

In her lectures,the STF of the local government Mrs Rachel Ajelo confirmed that the state has not received any case of polio malyeties for the past three years and commended government at all levels as well dounor partners for their support and assistance in this regards.

Also speaking the chief imam of Izala central mosque in Gwada,Mal Ahmed Adamu Gwada said Islamic religion does not forbid immunization and advised parents to disregard that negative nortion and present their children for a routine immunization in order to uplift the health status of their children.
