Rijau Local Government Palliative Committee begins Distribution of commodity to Polling units.
The Palliative distribution Committee in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State have commenced the distribution of the commodities to the beneficiaries in the Polling units across the Local government areas
The Rijau Local Governments Council Chairman,Hon Danladi Kombo Uganda disclosed this to Nigeria Daily Post correspondent in an interview at one of the polling unit in Rijau town while monitoring the distribution of the commodity to the benefiting people in the area.
The Chairman Hon Danladi Uganda who also serves as the Palliative distribution Secretary of Rijau Local government area, stated that members of the Committee unanimously resolved to buy rice and spaghetti to be shared among all the polling units in the local government areas
Hon.Uganda disclosed that each polling unit is. allocated six bags of rice and twenty eight cartons of spaghetti to be shared among households in the polling unit.
He advised all polling units distribution Committee Members to adhere strictly to the distribution formula, while appealing to the beneficiaries not to sell the commodities ‘adding that more grains are expected to arrive soon from the federal government level to be distributed to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal.
The Member representing Rijau/Magama Federal constituency at the National House of Representative,Hon.Salihu Sale Rijau who was also at the local government area to monitor the distribution exercise shows appreciation to members of committee for a job well done.
Hon.Salihu Rijau also appreciates the Governor of the state,Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago for timely disbursement of funds to various lacal government area for the purchase of grains to be distributed to the beneficiaries.
He then appeals to the beneficiaries to use the food stuff for purpose it is given to them and to also appreciates government for the gesture.
