Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps Declares Personnel Wanted Over Alleged Military Uniform Sales to Terrorists

The Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) has issued a warrant for one of its personnel amid allegations of involvement in the illegal sale and supply of military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal groups.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the soldier, who was assigned to the Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory, absconded from his unit on June 3, 2026.
In a statement issued Thursday by Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Major Oluwatope Aluko, the NAOC identified the individual as Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu. “He is wanted in connection with his alleged role in the illicit distribution of military uniforms to terrorists and criminal elements,” the statement reads.
The corps is actively working to locate and apprehend him to facilitate a comprehensive investigation and disciplinary proceedings in accordance with military regulations.
The Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps clearly states its zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct, indiscipline, or any actions that could undermine the operational effectiveness, integrity, or reputation of the Nigerian Army, or threaten national security.
Military authorities emphasize that any personnel aiding terrorists, criminals, or other non-state actors through unauthorized sale or diversion of military equipment or supplies will be prosecuted under both military and civil laws.
The Corps urges the public to assist in its efforts by providing credible information that could lead to the arrest of the wanted soldier. Such information should be promptly reported to the nearest military formation or security agency.
