Visually Impaired Teachers Thank Ambassador Nma Kolo for Sponsoring TRCN Certificates and Licenses
A group of visually impaired teachers in Niger State recently visited Ambassador Nma Kolo at Nexter Radio Station to express their gratitude for his sponsorship of their Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificates and professional teaching licenses.
The delegation was led by Mallam Usman Mohammed Sani, the State Coordinator of the TRCN, who described the support as a vital step toward professional inclusion and empowerment for teachers with disabilities.
He noted that the assistance helped the beneficiaries complete their registration and obtain the necessary certificates and licenses to be recognized as qualified educators.
During the visit, Mallam Usman Mohammed Sani mentioned that this initiative aligns with the TRCN’s mission of teacher development, regulation, accreditation, and upholding professional standards in education.
He emphasized that sharing information about the support is crucial for transparency and for inspiring similar efforts to aid disadvantaged groups and individuals with disabilities.
Ambassador Nma Kolo expressed his willingness to partner with the State Coordinator and other stakeholders to develop new ideas and enhance ongoing initiatives supporting persons with disabilities.
He also thanked Comrade Lanre for initiating the project through the TRCN office, describing him as a person known for courage, sincerity, and dedication to humanitarian service through his platform.
Ambassador Kolo encouraged young people in the state to avoid envy and jealousy, advocating instead for a spirit of selfless service by supporting the less privileged and persons with disabilities, just as CMT Radio continues to impact lives positively.
He pledged to continue sponsoring the initiative and assured the beneficiaries of his ongoing commitment to its sustainability and growth.
Addressing a request for empowerment support from the association’s chairman, he promised the matter would be given due consideration.
In an interview, Ambassador Kolo shared his feelings about the visit: “I feel fulfilled, and I thank Allah (SWT) for making it possible for them to embrace the opportunity to learn, pass through the four walls of the classroom, and emerge successful.”
He praised the beneficiaries for their determination to pursue education, noting that many often miss opportunities available to them.
Hamza Salihu, Chairman of the Nigeria Association of the Blind, Niger State Chapter, also expressed gratitude for the support, saying it restored dignity to their members and strengthened their voice in society.
He added that they were truly thankful for the opportunity provided.
Salihu prayed for Ambassador Nma Kolo and Mallam Usman Mohammed Sani, commending their dedication to improving the welfare and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
The beneficiaries described the intervention as impactful, transformative, and a renewed source of hope for their professional growth and future goals.
