Niger State Governor Umaru Bago Emphasizes the Importance of Service to Humanity

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reiterated the importance of dedicating oneself to serving humanity to foster a better society. He conveyed this message during the investiture and inauguration of Barrister Augustina Igbokwe as the seventh President of the Committee of Friends for Humanity (COFFHA), held in Victoria Island, Lagos.
As the Special Guest of Honor, Farmer Umaru Bago commended COFFHA’s commitment to humanitarian service, community development, and empowering vulnerable groups. He emphasized the necessity of collective effort in building a more prosperous, inclusive society and highlighted the importance of giving back to the community beyond what one has received.
He described Barrister Augustina Igbokwe as a remarkable woman and lifelong dedicated humanitarian who has positively impacted many lives. Furthermore, he announced that the State Government is planning to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with COFFHA to facilitate collaborative humanitarian initiatives.
In her remarks, Barrister Augustina Igbokwe expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from Governor Bago and reaffirmed her commitment to leading COFFHA in achieving its vision of restoring dignity and hope through impactful projects.
The event marked a significant milestone in COFFHA’s history, signifying a new leadership phase under Igbokwe’s guidance.
Founded in 1991, COFFHA is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting impoverished communities.
