Niger State Speaker Sarkindaji is excited to receive the outstanding Speaker award for the North Central geopolitical zone – Says Award is a call to greater service.
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, described his nomination for the most outstanding state assembly Speaker award for the North Central geopolitical zone by “Hallowmace Africa” not as a great honor but as a greater call to service.
The speaker was named the most outstanding Speaker of the state assembly from the North-Central geopolitical zone by Hallowmace Africa in its National Legislative Award for 2026.
Hallowmace Africa, in its letter of nomination, stated that the former two-time local government chairman and former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Niger State has demonstrated exceptional leadership since taking office at the 10th assembly in the state.
According to Hallowmace Africa, Sarkindaji was chosen as this year’s winner from the North Central after carefully observing his management of proceedings at the state assembly, his relationships with members of the 10th assembly and the executive branch, and his contributions to his constituency’s development.
The speaker will join other winners from different geopolitical zones of the country for the Hallowmace Africa National Legislative Award 2026, scheduled for July 9th, 2026, at the NAF Event Conference Center in Abuja.
Reacting to the award in Minna, the speaker expressed gratitude to Hallowmace Africa for deeming him worthy of the most outstanding speaker award for the North Central zone.
In a statement released in Minna by his senior special assistant on media, Shamsudeen Lawal Binari, the speaker conveyed deep appreciation to God and gratitude to the members of the 10th assembly for their support, which he said has contributed to peaceful coexistence within the house and earned them national recognition.
He emphasized that the honor is undoubtedly a call to serve the people more effectively, stating, “I am honored to be named the most outstanding speaker in the north-central geopolitical zone by Hallowmace Africa at the National Legislative Awards 2026.”
This recognition, he added, is not just a personal achievement but also a reflection of the collective efforts of the members of the Niger State House of Assembly, dedicated staff, stakeholders, and the resilient people they serve.
Over the past three years, under his leadership, the 10th assembly has shown unwavering dedication to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting people-centered legislation, fostering transparency, and supporting the current administration’s developmental goals.
As they prepare to receive this honor on July 9th, 2026, they remain motivated to do even more in advancing good governance, effective representation, and sustainable development for their constituencies and the people they serve.
Sarkindaji also expressed appreciation to the people of his immediate constituency for their ongoing support, trust, and prayers, adding, “Together, we will continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Niger State,” he concluded.
