Timloh Fyenda emerges SDP Senatorial candidate for Plateau South , pledges grassroots ,driven representation

Comrade Timlok Fyenda, Esq., MIASS, PhD (in view), has emerged as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Senatorial Candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
in a statement issued by Timloh on weekend assured the people of Plateau South Senatorial district of his unwavering support to deliver on campaign promises .
The decision follows extensive consultations with party stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, and grassroots mobilizers across the 6 Local Government Areas of Plateau South: Qua’an Pan, Shendam, Mikang, Wase, Langtang North, and Langtang South.
Speaking after receiving the party’s mandate, Comrade Fyenda said his campaign will be anchored on three core pillars: *security, economic empowerment, and youth development*.
“My mandate is clear: give Plateau South a strong, principled voice in the Senate. A voice that will attract federal presence, protect our communities, create jobs for our youth, and ensure development reaches every ward,” he said.
Comrade Fyenda previously won the NNPP Plateau South Senatorial ticket in 2023, an experience that gave him deep insight into the district’s challenges and the aspirations of its people. He now brings that experience to the SDP platform to expand the party’s reach and mobilize broad-based support across the zone.
The SDP in Plateau State, led by *Dr. Raymond Ibrahim, State Chairman*, has provided a platform for credible, people-centered candidates. The party structure across Plateau South is fully aligned to run an issue-based campaign focused on results, not rhetoric.
We will Partner with security agencies and traditional institutions to end attacks, strengthen community policing, and restore confidence in rural areas.
We will attract federal projects, support farmers with inputs and storage facilities, and promote SMEs and agro-processing for job creation.
We will establish skills training centers, expand access to scholarships, and push legislation that opens doors for entrepreneurship and employment.
With the SDP ticket now secured, Comrade Fyenda will commence ward-to-ward consultations across Plateau South to co-create his legislative agenda with the people.
