Aspirant for Jos North/Bassa Rep seat rejects imposition called it political injustice, or  rape to democracy

Yakubu Busari

An Aspirant contesting for the 2027 Jos North /Bassa Federal House of representatives, Hon . Abdullahi Yusuf Incham  AKA oga Perfect has rejected the imposition of a candidate for last of transparency in the exercise  by calling National body All Progressives Congress APC, to cancel the entire election as rape to democracy.

in a press release made available to this medium in Jos ,Abdullahi  described the primary election fraudulent without the party guidelines for conduct of the election.

According  to him, the APC primary election guidelines clearly provided for either direct primaries or a genuine consensus process built on consultation, mutual agreement, and the consent of all stakeholders.

Unfortunately, what transpired in the Bassa/Jos North Federal House of Representatives primary election fell far short of these democratic standards.

A total of fourteen aspirants indicated interest and duly contested for the ticket.

In Bassa Local Government Area, direct primaries were transparently conducted, and our principal emerged overwhelmingly victorious through the popular will of party members.

The process reflected credibility, openness, and democratic legitimacy.

Shockingly, a completely different and contradictory process was orchestrated in Jos North, where a “consensus” candidate was imposed without the knowledge, participation, consent, or endorsement of our principal or his representatives.

This so-called consensus lacked every ingredient of fairness, consultation, inclusiveness, and legality as enshrined in the party’s guidelines and democratic ethics.

We therefore consider the entire exercise in Jos North as fraudulent, manipulative, oppressive, and a deliberate subversion of internal party democracy.

It represents a dangerous assault on justice, equity, transparency, and the sacred principles of democratic participation.

Democracy cannot thrive where the will of the people is suppressed and replaced with impunity, imposition, and political deceit.

Our position remains firm and unshaken: the mandate freely earned through a credible direct primary process in Bassa cannot be invalidated or overshadowed by a kangaroo arrangement packaged as consensus in Jos North.

As committed party loyalists and defenders of democratic values, we reject this injustice in its entirety and shall pursue every legitimate, constitutional, and lawful avenue to seek redress and protect the integrity of the democratic process.

he called it a scam and you will not be mistaken because  of impunity and lack internal democracy displayed by the officials during the primaries.

Two different standards were used in selecting candidates for the House of Representatives seats.

In Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, direct primaries election was conducted in Bassa, while in Jos North a kangaroo “consensus” was stage-managed and a candidate was declared winner without the presence or consent of our candidate from Bassa.

Democracy must be built on fairness, transparency, and equal treatment for all, not manipulation and selective application of rules.

Big step today, and honestly, you can feel the energy already.

Hon Abdullahi who officially picked up his nomination form to run for the House of Representatives, Bassa/Jos North Constituency, Plateau State.

He said the journey has started, and he is not quieting. He  coming  ready, focused, and fully active.

This is about better representation, being heard, and actually seeing things work the way they should. And trust me, we’re locked in for everything it takes.
