Plateau Lawmaker Adamu Aliyu Wins APC Primary for Jos North North Constituency

The serving member representing Jos North North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Adamu Aliyu, has emerged winner of the direct primary election conducted on Wednesday across the seven electoral wards of the constituency.
The Constituency Collation and Returning Officer for the election, Kaban Yuhanna, declared Aliyu the valid winner during the collation held at the conference hall of the Jos North Local Government Secretariat.
Yuhanna said that, as Chairman of the House of Assembly Election Committee for Jos North and Returning Officer for Jos North North Constituency, he was officially declaring the results of the primary election conducted on May 20, 2026.
“The aspirants received the following votes: Abdulkadir Hassan — 182 votes, Hon. Shehu Bala Usman — 249 votes, Harry Ishaya — 1,904 votes, Hon. Adamu Aliyu — 13,066 votes.
“By the power vested in me, I hereby declare Hon. Adamu Aliyu as the winner,” Returning Officer Kaban Yuhanna declared.
