Niger State Successfully Concludes Airlift of 2,281 Pilgrims for 2026 Hajj
The Niger State Government has completed the airlift of all 2,281 intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj from Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna. This achievement highlights the state’s commitment to efficient pilgrimage operations and aviation development.
According to Yunusa Saidu Ibrahim Anipr, Director of Information and Public Relations Services at the Ministry of Information and Orientation, the pilgrims, representing all 25 Local Government Areas, were transported to Saudi Arabia via six scheduled flights coordinated by the Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago praised the successful airlift as a result of effective partnership, meticulous management, and the dedication of the state government, the Pilgrims Welfare Board, and all involved agencies.
The Ministry also commends Amirul Hajj and Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, for his leadership during this exercise.
Special thanks are extended to security agencies, medical teams, travel agencies, airline staff, and airport officials for their tireless efforts to facilitate a smooth, orderly, and hitch-free operation.
The Ministry reaffirms the administration’s commitment to continuous reforms to enhance Hajj operations and ensure seamless pilgrimage experiences for our intending pilgrims.
