The Deputy Director General of the APC Support Groups Council in North Central, Alhaji Lameen Aliyu, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent minor cabinet reshuffle conducted on Tuesday. He described it as a bold and strategic move aimed at strengthening governance and promoting national development.
In a statement released in Abuja, Alhaji Lameen Aliyu emphasized that the President’s decision to make changes in the Finance and Housing ministries demonstrates his strong commitment to performance, accountability, and effective service delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The reshuffle authorized by President Tinubu involved Wale Edun stepping down as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, with Taiwo Oyedele assuming the role. Additionally, in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma replaced Ahmed Musa Dangiwa as minister-designate.

According to the DDG, these changes reflect the President’s ongoing efforts to review and optimize government performance for better outcomes for Nigerians.
He highlighted that the appointment of Taiwo Oyedele, recognized for his expertise in fiscal policy and tax reforms, is expected to advance economic reforms, enhance revenue collection, and boost investor confidence in Nigeria’s economy.
Alhaji Lameen Aliyu also noted that the leadership change in the housing ministry is likely to invigorate efforts towards affordable housing, urban renewal, and infrastructure development, which are key components of the administration’s developmental priorities.
He affirmed that the reshuffle underscores President Tinubu’s focus on building a results-oriented cabinet capable of fulfilling governance promises.
“The APC Support Groups Council North Central fully endorses this strategic move and believes it will improve policy coordination, institutional synergy, and service delivery across vital sectors,” he stated.
The DDG called on Nigerians to continue supporting the administration as it consolidates economic reforms and infrastructure projects nationwide.
