CYPI Urges Eligible Voters to Secure Voter Cards and Reject Poor Leadership

The Christian Youths in Politics Initiative (CYPI) has called upon eligible Nigerian voters to intensify efforts in obtaining INEC Voter Cards and to vote out ineffective leaders who have continued to exploit and hinder the country’s development.
During an awareness campaign in Plateau Southern Senatorial District, held in Langtang North on Sunday, Comr. Sam Chris, the National Chairman of CYPI, emphasized the importance of active youth participation in the upcoming elections.
The Southern zone sensitization gathering aimed to mobilize, educate, and prepare Christian youths for the 2027 General Elections, marking it as a pivotal moment where progress can overcome stagnation in Plateau State politics.
Sam Chris highlighted that this movement seeks to reposition Plateau State for a future characterized by peace, accountability, and sustainable development—a transition from darkness to light.
The engagement received robust participation from CAN officials of the Southern Zone, CYPI leaders at various levels, former House of Representatives members, youth coordinators, and grassroots mobilizers.
Focusing on the strategic role of Christian youths, the Chairman stressed the importance of their active involvement in the electoral process, from primaries to actual voting, to ensure credible leadership emerges.
He urged members to choose clarity and integrity in their votes, encapsulating the mandate: “Light Must Replace Darkness”—a refusal to accept compromised leadership.
Addressing current challenges such as insecurity, violence, kidnapping, and poor governance, Sam Chris blamed these issues on bad political leadership resulting from a lack of civic awareness and poor electoral choices.
He insisted that the era of tolerating darkness must end, emphasizing that every vote in 2027 is a deliberate stand for light—symbolizing peace, security, justice, accountability, and strong leadership. Conversely, darkness represents fear, instability, and suffering.
The Chairman directed all zonal and local leaders to intensify grassroots mobilization, ensuring every eligible voter is prepared to participate and vote consciously for positive change.
In conclusion, CYPI urges all voters to reject darkness and vote for leaders who will bring light to Plateau State.
