Gbagyi National Festival (Gbafest) Postponed Due to Security Concerns
The Organizing Committee of Gbafest, led by Chairman Prince Innocent Zadunya Kure, formally announces the postponement of this year’s festival.
This decision was made in response to the current security challenges and recent terrorist attacks in Erena, which have significantly impacted our community. Given the gravity of the situation, it is neither appropriate nor feasible to proceed with celebrations while our people face such distress.
Our sympathies and prayers are with those affected by these tragic events. We pray for divine comfort, healing, and strength for all families and the entire Gbagyi nation. We strongly condemn these acts of violence and call for their swift cessation.
We also urge the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to safeguard lives and property, emphasizing the need for increased security presence to restore peace and confidence.
We thank the Gbagyi community for your understanding, patience, and unity during this difficult time. A new date for Gbafest will be announced once stability is restored.
Sincerely,
Prince Innocent Zadunya Kure
Chairman, Organizing Committee, Gbafest Festival
