LGyang Zi, SAN, condemns the killing of innocent citizens in Plateau
By Yakubu Busari
The brutal killing of innocent citizens in Jos City Centre particularly around Ungwan Rukuba and nearby areas on March 29, 2026 is deeply painful, inhumane, and an atrocity that must be condemned strongly. No society striving for peace and development should continue to face such senseless bloodshed.
In a statement made available to Nigeria daily post,in Jos condemned the ongoing attacks in the state.
It is unacceptable that innocent citizens have to endure persecution and violence before effective and lasting solutions are pursued. The government must take full responsibility for tackling this problem urgently. While we continue to preach and pursue peace, those responsible for these heinous acts must not be allowed to walk free.
When credible evidence points to perpetrators, the law must take its course.
As we mourn the lives tragically lost, I call on security agencies, government officials, religious leaders, community stakeholders, and independent security groups especially youth organizations to unite in protecting lives, restoring confidence, and creating a peaceful environment where development can flourish.
Let us come together in the pursuit of justice, peace, and lasting solutions for our communities.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
