Aliko Dangote to Begin Reconstruction of Jebba-Makera-Kontagora Roads in Niger State
Niger State Governor and farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago announced that the reconstruction of the Jebba-Makera-Kontagora road will soon begin to ease the challenges faced by road users on this route.
He shared this information during an Iftar event in Kontagora, attended by the Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Barau Mu’azu II, along with other local stakeholders.
Farmer-Governor Umaru Bago stated that the road project, funded by Africa’s wealthiest individual, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will significantly improve the state’s socio-economic conditions once completed, given its strategic importance as a key corridor for businesses transporting goods in and out of the area.
He took the opportunity to thank the people of Kontagora Emirate for their ongoing support, reaffirming his commitment to delivering more democratic benefits.

Umaru Bago urged residents to remain patient and vigilant as the government continues its efforts to address security issues.
In his remarks, Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Barau Mu’azu II, praised the governor’s dedication to the development and security of the Emirate, called for stronger action, and reaffirmed support for the administration.
The event was attended by notable figures, including former Niger State Governor and Senator representing Niger North, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello; Member of Parliament Abdullahi Idris Garba; and other key stakeholders from the Kontagora Emirate.
