NUP Urge Niger State Governor to Prioritize Pension Payments.

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners has formally appealed to Niger State Governor Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to designate pension payments as a first-line charge.
In a press statement released to the press in Minna, Union Secretary Comrade Abdullahi Baba Sani emphasized the importance of addressing health-related challenges faced by the elderly by ensuring pension payments are prioritized and disbursed before salaries.
He also urged the government to settle the February 2026 pension salary for retirees in the state, highlighting the hardships faced by many of them and their families.
Recalling their recent discussion with the governor regarding gratuity payments, Comrade Abdullahi Baba Sani appealed for the resumption of gratuity disbursements to retirees, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.
Additionally, Comrade Abdullahi Baba Sani congratulated Governor Umar Bago on his 52nd birthday, wishing him good health and strength to effectively govern the state.
