Man Fatally Assaults Brother Over Alleged Dream Incident in Oyo State
Police Operatives in Oyo State have arrested 43-year-old Lateef Suleiman for allegedly killing his elder brother, Mustapha Amidu, with a heavy rock, after accusing him of shooting him in a dream.
The suspect, from Alegunlode Compound in Sepeteri, reportedly attacked his 52-year-old brother following the conviction that he had been shot in a dream while asleep.
The incident was confirmed by the Oyo State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka.
According to the police, a witness, Badmus Yunisa, reported that Suleiman assaulted Mustapha after claiming he was shot in a dream, then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to Ileri Oluwa Hospital in Sepeteri, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
Police from the Ago-Amodu Divisional Headquarters promptly responded to the scene and the hospital, initiating investigations into the incident.
