Nigerian Content Creator Kolu Reportedly Detained in the UK
Nigerian content creator Kolu has reportedly been detained in the United Kingdom.
Kolu was allegedly taken into custody on Wednesday following a confrontation with UK immigration authorities.
Popular Nigerian musician Candy Bleakz, who shared this information in a video on her Instagram page, revealed that she traveled to the UK under her sponsorship.
Describing the situation, Candy Bleakz explained that Kolu, who couldn’t locate his passport, was arrested and taken to the station as they attempted to board a flight back to Nigeria.
“I already explained to Kolu that he is going to the UK in my name, and if he does not come back to Nigeria, it is going to have a huge effect on me. So we wanted to board a flight, but Kolu couldn’t find his passport. I said, ‘Okay, Kolu, just calm down and find your passport everywhere. Okay, you didn’t see it. We needed to communicate this to the immigration, but instead, Kolu go dey fight.
“I told Kolu to calm down, but he did not listen. He thought it was Nigeria. He has been taken to the station. I have been at the station since morning trying to communicate with them because I don’t want them to return Kolu to Nigeria through deportation. After all, it’s going to hurt his passport.”
