Niger State Governor Umaru Bago Praises Participants,Organizers of Capacity-Building Retreat.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended the resource persons and participants of the 8-day capacity-building programme organized by the state government for commissioners-designate, special advisers, permanent secretaries, local government chairmen-elect, and their deputies, as the retreat concludes.
The governor also lauded the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, the Head of Service, and all other government officials involved in the organization of the retreat, held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Minna.
He described the resource persons as highly esteemed intellectuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields and positively impacted the participants.
Governor Umaru Bago highlighted the numerous benefits of the retreat, noting that some hidden talents among the participants have been uncovered and will be judiciously harnessed by his administration.
He emphasized that the training aimed to promote accountability and transparency among public officials, equip them with skills to deliver excellent, effective, and efficient service, and foster harmonious collaboration toward achieving the New Niger agenda.
The governor recommended that such training should be conducted periodically to continually remind participants of their responsibilities and enhance good governance.
He urged the Council Chairmen-elect to undertake quality projects that will benefit rural communities, thereby complementing government development initiatives.
Expressing optimism, the governor stated his belief that Niger State will soon be guided by a team of dedicated, committed, vibrant, resourceful, and selfless officials working in unison to advance the state’s growth.
