Governor Umaru Bago Urges Religious Tolerance and Commends Support Amid Kidnapping Incident in Papiri.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on Nigerians to adopt a spirit of religious tolerance to promote peace and development within the country.
Governor Bago made this appeal during a visit from former Niger State Governor and Senator representing Niger North, Abubakar Sani Bello. The senator visited the Government House to extend sympathies regarding the recent abduction of schoolchildren in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area.
Expressing appreciation for Senator Bello’s visit, the governor praised his compassion, dedication to public service, and ongoing support for his administration.
Describing the events in Papiri as deeply troubling, Governor Bago reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding all citizens. He also commended the concerted efforts of federal security agencies and the government to rescue the abducted children.
The governor called on Nigerians to continue praying and fasting for the safe return of the children, expressing optimism about their eventual safe return.
Senator Bello conveyed his condolences to the governor and the people of Niger State, describing the incident as a severe test from Allah. He urged the state’s leadership to remain strong, recalling his own experiences with kidnapping during his tenure as governor.
He emphasized the importance of persistent prayer and assured residents of Governor Bago’s continued support during this challenging period.
