OAGF Assures No Delay in October Salaries Amid IPPIS Software Upgrade.

By Yahaya Zakka Minna

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has officially dismissed rumors circulating on social media regarding a potential delay in the payment of October salaries due to a software upgrade within the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).

In a statement issued by the Director of Press, the OAGF clarified that the current upgrade is part of a larger initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.

The statement outlined that the IPPIS previously operated on three payroll platforms, but as of 2024, one platform was successfully transitioned to the “SoftSuite” application, leaving only two active platforms: EBS and SoftSuite.

The Federal Government’s decision to consolidate all payroll activities under the SoftSuite application stems from the underperformance of the EBS platform.

The OAGF reassured federal employees and other stakeholders that despite the ongoing integration process, measures have been put in place to manage any minor issues that may arise.

The management expressed confidence that no significant disruptions to salary payments are expected.

Furthermore, the OAGF emphasized the reliability of their communication channels and urged the public to rely on official statements for accurate information. All federal workers have been assured that October salaries will be processed and paid as scheduled.

The OAGF reiterated its commitment to transparency and efficiency, encouraging everyone to dismiss inaccurate reports that do not reflect the office’s official position.
