Governor Umaru Bago Donates 40-Seater Bus to Niger Tornadoes Football Club.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has officially presented a new 40-seater bus to the Niger Tornadoes Football Club to assist with their logistical needs.
The donation took place at the Government House in Minna, where Governor Bago reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting sports development across the state.
During the event, the governor also welcomed the State Contingent from the recently concluded 9th edition of the National Youth Games held in Asaba, Delta State.
He congratulated the athletes for their commendable performance, as they finished 13th overall in the competition.
Governor Bago assured that athletes and officials would be honored for their achievements in due course.
Danjuma Abdullahi Masu, Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, received the bus on behalf of the team. He expressed gratitude to the Governor for fulfilling his promise and highlighted that this donation would alleviate the logistical challenges faced by the team while also boosting the players’ morale.
Masu lauded the farmer governor’s dedication to sporting activities in the state, noting that his support for the contingents in the Youth Games will inspire athletes to strive for excellence.
At the 9th National Youth Games, the Niger State team achieved an overall ranking of 13th, securing a total of 11 medals: gold in handball, weightlifting, boxing, and scrabble; 2 silver medals in weightlifting and one each in taekwondo and judo; and 3 bronze medals in tennis, kickboxing, and scrabble.
