Niger State APC Caucus Endorses President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umaru Bago for Reelection.

The Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term in office.

This decision was reached during an expanded caucus meeting held at the Hauwa Wali Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House, Minna, which brought together key stakeholders from the party across the state.

Senator Muhammad Sani Musa, representing Niger East and leading the Niger State APC Caucus in the National Assembly, moved the motion for the endorsement, which was seconded by Saidu Musa Abdul, the representative for the Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency.

The meeting saw the attendance of several prominent party figures, including Minister of Information and National Orientation Muhammad Idris Malagi, Senator Abdullahi Sabi, the Minister of State for Agriculture, and Mu’azu Bawa, Vice Chairman of the APC North Central.

During their remarks, party leaders commended the progress made under the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Bago, highlighting their transformative efforts and expressing strong support for their continued governance.

The consensus among attendees emphasized the importance of maintaining unity within the party and collaborating for the greater good of the Niger State populace.

Niger State Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, and other notable APC members echoed the call for endorsement, celebrating the unprecedented achievements of both leaders. They urged the public to grant them the opportunity to build on their successes.

Governor Umaru Bago expressed gratitude to the APC stakeholders for their trust, emphasizing the need for all party members to contribute to the growth and success of the APC.

He urged supporters to actively promote the party and rally support for President Tinubu. Additionally, he reaffirmed his commitment to all APC candidates in the upcoming local government elections, announcing plans for rigorous campaign activities.

Highlighting his administration’s focus on developmental issues, Governor Bago revealed that a state of emergency has been declared in the health and education sectors, with ongoing efforts to enhance services and infrastructure across the state.

The expanded caucus meeting was well-attended, featuring distinguished guests such as former Deputy Governors Ahmed Mohammed Ketso and Amb. Musa Ibeto, as well as federal and state legislators, local government chairmen, commissioners, and special advisers, all demonstrating a unified front in support of the party’s endorsed candidates.

No Hiding Place for Adversaries in Kontagora, Niger State -Gen. Abubakar The Commander, Corps of Artillery, Major General Zakari Abubakar, has declared that there is no longer a safe haven for criminal elements operating in Kontagora and its environs. General Abubakar made this known during a field demonstration involving the test-firing of artillery guns held at the Nigerian Army Military Training Center (NAMTA) in Kontagora. The test-firing is aimed at sending a strong message to criminal groups that the area is fully secured and under military watch. He urged troops to remain vigilant, professional, and proactive in their duties, emphasizing the need to deny miscreants any opportunity to disrupt peace and security in the region. The Commander also called on residents to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could aid ongoing operations to rid the area of insecurity. According to him, sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace. “Peace is the foundation of every meaningful development. We all have a responsibility to promote and sustain it,” he stated. General Abubakar further appealed to religious leaders to continue preaching messages of peace to their congregations, stressing that peace is a universal language that must be upheld by all. He also extended a call to all aggrieved individuals or groups to lay down their arms, embrace peace, and reintegrate into society as responsible citizens committed to the progress and development of Kontagora.
