In a significant move to bolster service delivery within the Niger State Revenue Service, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has officially presented new vehicles to the Chairman and Directors of the agency at the Government House in Minna.
This initiative is aimed at enhancing their operational efficiency and capacity.
During the presentation, Governor Bago expressed his commendation for the Revenue Service’s remarkable achievement in generating over N100 billion naira in revenue within a single year, exceeding their set target.
He described this accomplishment as unprecedented and worthy of recognition.
The Governor emphasized that the provision of these vehicles would not only serve as a morale booster for the staff but would also facilitate their imperative role in revenue generation.
He further encouraged the team to continue exploring new avenues that could potentially double the state’s revenue.
In response, the Chairman of the Niger State Revenue Service, Alh. Muhammad Etsu, expressed gratitude towards Governor Bago for his continued support.
He noted that the ongoing assistance from the current administration has significantly contributed to the Service’s ability to achieve its revenue targets.
Etsu highlighted that the Service is now operating autonomously and is self-sustaining, a status that is expected to further enhance the state’s revenue profile.
Etsu also assured that with Niger State’s gradual industrialization and influx of investments, doubling the current revenue is an attainable goal, further reinforcing the importance of continued government support and innovation in revenue strategies.
