Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Commends INEC for Upholding Justice Against Recall Efforts.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has publicly commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its recent decision to reject what she described as an illegitimate attempt to recall her from the Senate.
In her statement, the Senator expressed her gratitude to INEC for upholding justice and adhering to constitutional standards, despite pressures from various undemocratic elements both in Kogi and within the Senate.
On Thursday, INEC officially declared that “the petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District does not meet the constitutional requirements. Therefore, no further action will be taken on the matter.”
Responding to this announcement, Akpoti-Uduaghan remarked, “God has put to shame the anti-democratic forces plotting my recall from the Senate, including former Governor Yahaya Bello, who is currently one of the most wanted individuals by the EFCC.”
She reiterated the sentiment that “the voice of the people is the voice of God,” asserting that neither former Governor Yahaya Bello, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, nor their associates can undermine the mandate granted by the dedicated citizens of Kogi Central.
Throughout the process, the Senator maintained her confidence, stating, “I have a God that can never fail and I have the support of the people. The decision to reject the recall effort is a triumph for justice over injustice. INEC has demonstrated its true independence, and this historical stance will not be forgotten.”
Akpoti-Uduaghan lauded INEC for exposing those engaging in deceitful tactics and for upholding the laws of the land.
“To God be the glory, we have once again defeated them. This triumph marks another victory against those who prefer to operate in the shadows—manipulators, election riggers, and their violent accomplices in Kogi Central and beyond,” she declared.
She concluded by cautioning her opponents that “their days in politics are numbered, as a new era has emerged where citizens will no longer support corrupt politicians known for violence, rigging, and misconduct.”
Finally, Akpoti-Uduaghan extended her gratitude to all Nigerians who have stood firm with her throughout this struggle, especially the people of Kogi Central. She restated her commitment to delivering justice to the oppressed, granting freedom to the captive, and contributing to the brighter future of Nigeria. “Thank you to all who value justice.”
