Niger State Deputy Governor Attends Gawu Cultural Day

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, attended the annual Gawu Babangida Cultural Day held today in Gawu Babangida, the headquarters of Gurara Local Government.
This event is organized annually by the Big Brother Association to promote cultural harmony, peace, and unity.
During his speech, the Deputy Governor urged the organizers to maintain their efforts and expressed appreciation for their dedication to upholding the cultural identity of the Gbagyi people.
He emphasized the importance of Nigerlites participating in the agricultural revolution led by Governor Bago, noting that farming has long been the traditional occupation of the Gbagyi people.
He also took the opportunity to encourage parents to enroll their children in school, stating that education is the foundation of development.
The Deputy Governor highlighted the government’s achievements in the fight against insecurity, while also acknowledging that challenges still remain.
In his closing statements, he urged political leaders to view their positions as a call to serve rather than a means for personal gain. He remarked, “What will be, will surely be, as power is granted only by Allah.”
The organizers expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Governor for honoring the event with his presence and urged him to continue fostering unity among the people.
