Niger At-Risk Children Programme Pays Courtesy Visit to NDLEA Niger State Command*Office

In a bid to strengthen partnerships and enhance collaboration, Mr. Abdul Abdul, the Head of Operations of the At-Risk Children Programme (ARC-P), paid a courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Minna Command on December 5, 2024, on behalf of the Team Lead.
The purpose of the visit was to reaffirm ARC-P’s commitment to addressing the vulnerabilities faced by at-risk children, particularly concerning substance abuse and related challenges.
During the meeting, the Head of Operations highlighted ARC-P’s ongoing initiatives and stressed the critical need for a multi-stakeholder approach in tackling issues affecting at-risk children.
The NDLEA State Commander, Mr. Shehu N. Gwadabawa, commended ARC-P’s efforts and expressed the agency’s commitment to supporting interventions that create a safer environment for children.
Mr. Gwadabawa also shared valuable insights into the agency’s work in supporting and rehabilitating minors affected by drug-related issues. He outlined NDLEA’s comprehensive approach, which includes awareness campaigns, counseling services, and rehabilitation programs specifically designed for minors, ensuring they receive holistic support for reintegration into society.
He reiterated the NDLEA’s willingness to partner with ARC-P to amplify their collective impact.
Both organizations explored potential areas of synergy, including awareness campaigns, rehabilitation programs, and preventive strategies targeting communities most affected by drug-related issues.
