NMCN Announces 2024 Nursing Exam Success: 88% Pass Rate Achieved

The Nigerian government has officially published the results for the 2024 Professional Examination in General and Post-Basic Nursing Programs.
This announcement was made in a circular issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) on November 10, 2024.
According to the circular, a total of 18,139 candidates successfully passed the exam, reflecting an overall pass rate of 88%.
Heads of nursing institutions in Nigeria are advised to access their institution’s results online starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The circular, signed and made available to newsmen by Ndagi Alhassan, the acting registrar of NMCN, stated: “I am pleased to inform you that the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of the results of the November 2024 Professional Examination for General/Post Basic Nursing Programs.”
The results breakdown is as follows:
General Nursing Program: 12,534 candidates passed, achieving an 88% pass rate.
Refresher Program: 42 candidates passed, with a 45% pass rate.
Foreign Trained Nursing (FTN): 178 candidates passed, reflecting a 43% pass rate.
Post Basic Nursing Program: 4,513 candidates passed, with a 96% pass rate.
Community Nursing Program: 872 candidates passed, achieving a 74% pass rate.
