Army Chief Reaffirms Training Commitment at 2024 Workshop in Minna
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has reiterated his commitment to the training of personnel of the Nigerian Army (NA) in line with approved training directives.
Lt. Gen. Lagbaja made this statement on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Mid-Year Courses Appraisal and Curriculum Harmonization Workshop hosted by the Headquarters, Training and Doctrine Command, NA (HQ TRADOC NA) in Minna, Niger State.
The COAS, who was represented at the workshop by the Commander of TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe, commended the participants for displaying a high level of professionalism in advancing improved training activities for the NA Training Schools.
He urged the participants to remain resolute in their pursuit of excellence towards achieving combat readiness of troops through training.
While reiterating the need to upscale military training to meet global standards, he emphasized that the security challenges confronting the nation must be defeated.
He challenged participants to remain focused and committed towards achieving the desired training goals for optimal performance of the NA.
The closing ceremony of the workshop was followed by a cocktail party in honor of the participants held at the TRADOC NA Officers’ Mess, Minna Military Cantonment.
