Niger State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Reaffirms Commitment to Federal Partnership
The Niger State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Inga Ibrahim, has reiterated his ministry’s dedication to collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Eradication to alleviate the suffering of disaster victims, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups within the state.
In a press statement shared with journalists in Minna by Wushishi Habibu, Director of Media and Strategy, the Commissioner disclosed these intentions during a courtesy visit to the Federal Minister in Abuja on Tuesday.
Dr. Ibrahim urged for his ministry’s active involvement in all federal programs, including skills training, staff development, and the distribution of relief materials, emphasizing that such participation would help ease the hardships faced by affected communities and contribute to poverty reduction in Niger.
Responding to the Commissioner, the Federal Minister, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted that strong collaboration enhances the implementation of government initiatives through data sharing and experience exchange.
He assured continued support for Niger State, describing it as a vital and cherished part of the country’s economic landscape.
