Executive Director of Operations, Hamisu, Calls for Peace Between Fulanis and Kamuku Communities in Kuwan Kasa
The Executive Director of Operations for the Niger State Liquor Licensing Board, Hon. Hamisu Mohammed Kogunan Tegina, has made an urgent appeal for peace between the Fulanis and Kamuku communities in Kuwan Kasa, Rafi Local Government Area.
He stresses the importance of laying down arms and fostering brotherhood, warning that ongoing conflict threatens their future.
Following the recent clash at Tegina market that resulted in casualties, Hon. Kogunan Tegina reminds both tribes of their history of peaceful coexistence and urges them not to allow trivial misunderstandings to cause prolonged hostility.
He emphasizes that real progress cannot be achieved without peace and encourages the communities to forgive past grievances, fostering reconciliation and unity.
The executive director also commends the Emir of Kagara and local district leaders for their swift efforts in restoring calm, acknowledging their leadership as vital to rebuilding trust.
He then offers heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the violence and calls on everyone to choose peace for lasting harmony.
