An Aspirant under the platform of African Democritic Congress,ADC , for the race to represent Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in the Green chamber of the National Assembly, Abuja, in the 2027 General election, Honourable Simon Ciroma Dangyang,has officially dumped the party and defected to Nigerian Democritic Congress,NDC.
Honourable Simon Ciroma Dangyang, said his official joining a new party was done owning to lingering crises and three factions parading as state chairmen in Plateau State and the issue of litigation bedeviling the national body of ADC .
In a statement made available to this medium in Jos aspirant, a politician, Businessman and philanthropist disclosed his decision to join the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC to run for the seat and represent the people of Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, in the House of Representative, Abuja in the forth coming elections.
Ciroma, who was an active member and strong pillar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC said he resigned his membership from the former platform as a result of the protracted irreconcilable leadership crisis that has affected the fortunes of the party.
In his words, the political party stalwart also stressed that:
“Today being the 9th day of May 2026, i have formally resigned my membership from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to the lingering leadership crisis which have engulfed the party.
“In view of this, i have aligned myself with the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).”
The aspirant also noted that he has, formally, taken steps to formalise his membership with the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC in order to contest for the exalted office to ensure people oriented leadership and representation for his constituents in the 2027 elections.

Recall, the Nigerian Democratic Party, NDC has in recent time, witnessed the entry of many notable political gladiators into the party, including former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State who may seek a joint ticket, both made a bold and decisive move into the NDC a week ago.
Penultimate week, Obi, in a tweet through his personal media handle before appearing at a meeting with NDC leaders, wrote: “We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people; a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny and discouragement have become normal.
“We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness; a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class or power.
“Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice and helping others rise.” Peter Obi said.

Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson is the founder and national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He launched the party in March 2026, targeting the 2027 general elections, and registered it through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
