Your Excellency Sir,
Subject: Save-Our-Soul Appeal — Ja’agi Community Has Been Left Behind: Classrooms, Teachers, Electricity, and Road
I write this open letter on behalf of the forgotten men, women, and children of Ja’agi Ward, Mokwa LGA, to respectfully plead for Your Excellency’s fatherly intervention. While we celebrate your New Niger agenda across the state, the truth is: *Ja’agi has been left behind.
1. Education in Ruins
Our only public primary school, [insert name, e.g.Wada Primary School Ja’agi and Government day Science College Ja’agi], is collapsing. [Insert fact: e.g. “2 of 3 classroom blocks caved in after the June 2025 rains.”] Over 400 pupils now learn under flow. We have only [insert number] teachers for 6 classes. Without classrooms and teachers, Your Excellency’s vision of an educated, agriculturally empowered Niger State cannot reach us.
2l. Total Darkness
Ja’agi has been in total blackout for [insert duration, e.g. over 11 years ”]. Small businesses have folded, health services suffer, and our children read with kerosene lamps. The poles and wires are there, but the transformers and connection are dead.
3. Impassable Road
The [insert distance, e.g. 26km] Ja’agi–Mokwa road, Kudu–Ja’agi is a death trap, especially in the rainy season. Farmers cannot move produce, pregnant women cannot reach the hospital in Mokwa, and economic life is frozen. This single road determines whether Ja’agi lives or dies.
Your Excellency , these four crises mean one thing: *our children cannot learn, our youth cannot work, our sick cannot travel, and our farmers cannot prosper.
Our Humble Request
We are not asking for luxuries. We appeal for the basics of dignity:
1. Reconstruction of 5 classroom blocks and provision of desks
2. Urgent posting of at least 4 qualified teachers* to Ja’agi
3. Restoration of electricity through transformer repair/replacement
4. Grading and laterization of the Ja’agi–Mokwa access road
Our Pledge
The elders, youths, and women of Ja’agi are ready to mobilize communal labour, provide security for projects, and set up a monitoring committee to ensure accountability. We will partner with any contractor to make every naira count.
Sir, “New Niger” cannot be complete if Ja’agi is left behind. Help us give our children a chance to become the doctors, farmers, and engineers that will build Niger State tomorrow.
We trust in your track record of reaching rural communities and in your heart for the poor.
May God strengthen you as you build Niger State.
