Niger State House of Assembly Completes Screening and Confirmation of 30 Commissioner Nominees

The Niger State House of Assembly has finalized the screening and approval process for the 30 commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago for appointment into the state’s Executive Council.
In today’s plenary session, the assembly confirmed the last batch of ten nominees, bringing the total confirmed commissioners to thirty.
This development signifies a key milestone in establishing a governance body to advance the administration’s New Niger Agenda.
Mairo Adamu Mani, Acting Head of Department, Media and Public Relations, stated in a press release that the final ten nominees confirmed are:
1. Adamu Abdullahi Sheshi – Katcha
2. Faruk Umaru Audi – Chanchaga
3. Prof. Mohammed Auna – Magama
4. Aminu Sulaiman Takuma – Mokwa
5. Umar Rabe Sanda – Bosso
6. Abubakar Umar Abule
7. Haruna Abubakar Magaji – Gurara
8. Abdullahi Shuaibu Maje – Suleja
9. Obed Nana – Tafa
10. Mustafa Ndajiwo – Lavun
The assembly unanimously approved all nominees following a thorough evaluation of their qualifications, capacities, and potential contributions to Niger State governance.
During the plenary, Speaker Rt. Hon. Barr. (Dr.) Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji congratulated the nominees, urging them to leverage their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to foster development within the state.
He highlighted the critical role of these commissioners in supporting the visionary agenda of Governor Bago, particularly in realizing the goals of the New Niger Agenda.
