The Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Niger State has elected new leadership to govern its affairs.

The Niger State Council of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has appointed new officers. During his inaugural address, the newly elected chairperson, Comrade Dahiru Garba Kuta, commended the previous leadership, including the immediate past chairman, the former State Administrative Council (SAC), and all those who served with dedication and sacrifice.
Addressing the newly elected executive members and all affiliate unions of the TUC Niger State Council, Chairman Comrade Dahiru Garba Kuta expressed his sincere gratitude for the confidence placed in the new leadership by union members.
Comrade Dahiru stated that the support, trust, and strong turnout from members clearly reflect their dedication to the labor movement.
He prayed for divine guidance to enable the new executives to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, accountability, and selfless service.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing trade union ideals and advocating for the welfare and rights of workers throughout Niger State.
He emphasized that the struggle for workers’ rights has been a collective effort, built on resilience and unity, which has kept the TUC Niger State Council strong. He assured members that the movement would continue to progress cohesively.
“Although this election took place slightly earlier than anticipated, the overwhelming support received has greatly inspired, unified, and motivated us.” He expressed determination to advance as a unified family within the organized labor movement.
According to him, the council remains dedicated to strengthening and unifying the Trade Union Congress in Niger State, ensuring it remains truthful and effective in delivering benefits to its members and the wider community.
