Governor Umaru Bago Attends Special Prayer Session for Etsu Nupe.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State recently participated in a special prayer session honoring the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.
The event took place at the Wadata palace in Bida and was organized to commemorate the Etsu Nupe’s 73rd birthday and 22nd anniversary on the throne.
During the session, Governor Bago expressed gratitude to Allah for the blessings and favors bestowed upon the Etsu Nupe, emphasizing the importance of prayer for the prosperity of Bida Emirate, Niger State, and the nation as a whole.
He hailed the Etsu Nupe as an exemplary and compassionate leader, acknowledging the valuable advice he has received from him, which has guided his decision-making.
The governor commended the monarch’s effective stewardship, highlighting that his 73 years of life and 22 years of rule have been marked by significant achievements and success.
He offered prayers for Allah’s continued blessings and protection over the Etsu Nupe and his reign.
In response, Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar expressed his gratitude to Allah for the mercies and grace that have accompanied him throughout his leadership as the 13th Etsu Nupe. He thanked Governor Bago for organizing the special prayer session, reflecting his concern and support.
The Etsu Nupe also extended his appreciation to those who consistently show him respect and solidarity. He prayed for Allah to guide the governor in his leadership journey, assuring him of the unwavering support of the State’s traditional institutions in implementing his administration’s policies and programs.
The Chief Imam of Bida, Adamu Yakatun, led a collective prayer session with other Islamic scholars from the Bida Emirate, seeking divine assistance for the Etsu Nupe, the governor, and the people of Niger State and Nigeria.
The Chief Imam further prayed for success in the ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and other pressing challenges facing the nation.
Mayakin Nupe, Alhaji Aliyu Yahaya, praised the governor for his developmental initiatives and continuous support for the Etsu Nupe, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of leadership in the state.
