INEC Voter Validation: Elwazir Calls on Niger Citizens and North central Nigerians to Act
My good people of Niger State and the North central, warm greetings.
INEC has begun the Voter Validation Exercise across all polling units nationwide. This window allows every eligible Nigerian to confirm or update their voter registration details for the issuance of a valid voter’s card.
The voter’s card remains your passport to exercise your civic right – to vote, to be heard, and to shape our common destiny. Without it, you risk silencing your own voice and surrendering your power.
Recent INEC statistics show a very low turnout from the North central , which is not encouraging. I therefore urge parents and guardians to encourage their children and wards of voting age to seize this opportunity, obtain their voter’s cards, and fulfill their constitutional obligations. I also call on traditional rulers, community leaders, and opinion leaders to sensitize their people and encourage widespread participation in this critical exercise.
I urge all Niger State citizens and residents, and our brothers and sisters across the North Central states and beyond, eighteen years and above, to seize this opportunity. Do not self-disenfranchise. Step forward, validate your record, and keep your civic power alive.
