Nigeria Police Force Dismisses Constable for Theft of Goat in Taraba State.

The Nigeria Police Force has officially dismissed Constable Usman Mohammed, who was serving in Taraba State, following a disciplinary inquiry that resulted in a conviction for theft.
The decision was communicated through a formal notice from the Commissioner of Police, Department of Force Administration (DFA) in Jalingo, directed to the Divisional Police Officer at Mutum Biyu, where the officer was stationed.
The termination of Constable Mohammed’s employment was conducted in accordance with the Police Act and Regulation 370, Cap 389 of the 2010 Laws of the Federation (as amended).
The actions leading to his dismissal fall under paragraph ‘E’ of the First Schedule of the Police Act, which stipulates immediate removal from service for such misconduct.
In addition to the dismissal, police management has mandated the retrieval of all official equipment issued to Constable Mohammed, including his police ID card.
Furthermore, his salary payments have been ceased, and his service record will be updated to document his termination effectively.
