Eid-el-Fitr: CAN Chairman Congratulates Muslim Ummah, Calls for Sustained Unity and Peace
Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State, has urged the Muslim ummah to continue fostering the unity and peace that have characterized the state.
In his message, he emphasized that the teachings of the Quran and Hadith focus on principles of peace, love, discipline, and humility.
The Chairman, who also serves as the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, encouraged Muslims to use this occasion to pray for enduring peace in Nigeria and specifically in Niger State.
Through his Media Aide, Daniel Atori, Bishop Yohanna extended his congratulations to Muslims worldwide, particularly to the Governor of Niger State, Rt. Hon. Umaru Bago, for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
He stated, “I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters across the state, especially our Farmer Governor, on a successful Ramadan fast. I commend your acts of love, your generosity towards the less privileged, and your peaceful coexistence with people of other religions.”
The CAN Chairman prayed that Almighty God grants the Governor and other leaders the grace to continue serving humanity selflessly.
