Brighter Community Association Empowers Underprivileged Families During Ramadan and Eid.

The Brighter Community Association in Minna, Niger State, has made a meaningful difference by providing over one and a half million naira in aid, including foodstuffs, clothing, and financial assistance, to support less privileged families during Ramadan and the forthcoming Eid celebrations.
At the recent distribution event, Alhaji Abdul Hammeed El-Waziri underlined the organization’s dedication to uplifting vulnerable members of society, emphasizing the importance of fostering a sense of community and belonging. Approximately seventy-seven families were carefully selected by committee members to benefit from the assistance.
The support package comprised:
• 66 Families: Each received a 10kg bag of Semo and N5,000.
• 3 Families: Each received a leather of rice and N5,000 (additional consideration).
• 3 Families: Each received a leather of millet and N5,000 (additional consideration).
• 5 Families:Each received N5,000
(additional consideration).
Clothing Distribution:
Due to limited resources, clothing was distributed based on observations of need, ensuring that the most vulnerable individuals in attendance received support.
Engr. Umaru Haliru, the Coordinator, credited the initiative’s success to the generous contributions from community members.
He emphasized the importance of mutual support during challenging times, stating, “No matter how small the items may be, they will make a meaningful impact on their lives.
” Engr. Haliru also expressed gratitude for the donations, both monetary and material, acknowledging that this year’s efforts have outstripped previous ones, with a commitment to continuous improvement for future initiatives.
