NAWOJ Niger State Chapter: Outgoing Exco Hands Over to Caretaker Committee
The leadership of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Niger State Chapter, has officially transitioned from the outgoing executive committee to a newly appointed caretaker committee.
The handing over ceremony, held in Minna, marked a significant step in ensuring the continuity of NAWOJ’s activities in the state.
Speaking at the event, the outgoing Chairperson, Hajiya Rabi Bello Sarki, expressed her appreciation to members for their support during her tenure.
She advised the caretaker committee to exercise patience, unity, and dedication in steering the affairs of the association.
“Leadership comes with challenges, but with patience and teamwork, you will succeed in strengthening NAWOJ in Niger State,” she said.
The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Abu Nmadu represented by Secretary Comrade Usman Muhammad Chiji, commended the outgoing exco for their service urged the caretaker committee to uphold professionalism and integrity in their duties.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and inclusivity in fostering a stronger NAWOJ.
The newly appointed Caretaker Chairperson, Hajiya Asabe Garba, assured members of her commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent process leading to a new leadership.
She called for cooperation from all members to sustain the progress made and further advance the association’s objectives.
The transition signals a new phase for NAWOJ Niger State Chapter, as the caretaker committee takes charge with the responsibility of guiding the association forward.
